House in Cannon Hill
Completed March 2012
Builder: Alan Roberts
Engineer: Ross Argent

This is a new home for a young family of six. It is built near the top of a sloping suburban site next to a big old Poinciana tree, with distant views from its upper level back towards the Gateway Bridge to the North. The setout of the plan is angled for best orientation and views and to define front and rear outdoor spaces. All rooms open both North and South to catch breezes. The upper level overhangs living spaces at ground level and the bedrooms share a verandah space with folding screens for shade and privacy.
